Question:
Hello- The Blue OX braking system which utilizes a cable through firewall is said to work with or in lieu of an Alpha tow bar or what I call draw bar. Could you put together a full compatible package for me to tow a 2012 CRV 4 down please. Behind has motor home 5000# tow cap.

For your 2012 Honda CR-V, I recommend you start with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX2258. When installing this, I highly suggest using Loctite Threadlocker 262 - High Strength - Up to 3/4" Nuts/Bolts - 0.20-Fl-Oz Tube # LT37420 to secure the bolts.
This base plate can be used with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar - Motor Home Mount - 6,500 lbs # BX7380 you mentioned which comes with the safety cables you need. I recommend using the Blue Ox Base-Plate and Receiver Lock Kit - Qty 3 # BX88101 for security and piece of mind.
For your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This coiled adapter will allow you wire your CR-V for towing using its factory wiring while protecting it and gives you the 12V battery charge option. Fuse(s) must be pulled during towing. Please check your owner's manual and if it says to only pull the #19 ACC radio fuse, use part # RM76511; if it states to pull the #19 ACC radio fuse and the #20 ACC key lock fuse, use part # RM76512. I've attached a video of the double fuse, but they install the same way.
For your braking system, the Blue Ox AutoStop Supplemental Braking System w/ Breakaway - Aventa LX - Proportional - 7,500 lbs BX88100-3050 you mentioned we no longer carry. For a braking system, I recommend the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700. This system is a proportional braking system that engages when you hit the brake pedal in your motorhome. It is only adjusted at install and then becomes a plug and play unit.
The final piece of this system is a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to assist in determining the correct adapter for your need. I've also attached the link to all your options for your convenience.
