Recommended Camper Trailer Stabilizers for 2017 Livin Lite Quicksilver Tent Trailer
Question:
I have a 2017 Livin Lite Quicksilver tent trailer. It currently has the atwood style stabilizer jack. I want to replace it with scissor jacks. How would I install those. The Manf says it has to be to the frame.

Any trailer jack or stabilizer has to be mounted to the frame for it to provide upward stabilizing force without causing damage to the exterior/non-structural parts of the camper. The swing-down type jacks on your 2017 Livin Lite Quicksilver are convenient but they do not provide the fine adjustment you can get from a scissor jack. The Atwood stabilizers have extension holes that do give you a range of adjustment but this is limited to the spacing between those holes.
A 2-piece scissor jack kit like # TJSCHD-24 or a 4-piece set of stabilizers like # UF48-979004 allow you more control of their height and of the upward pressure they will apply to the trailer frame to steady it. They are not limited to the positions allowed by placement of their holes since both use a screw-type design.
Other nice features of the Ultra-Fab kit # UF48-979004 are the freedom from having to mount them permanently (no loss of ground clearance when you're driving) and that they stack for storage. They are also cost-effective and could be used along with your existing Atwood stabilizers if you prefer. Adding these lets you try out the combination without having to make permanent changes to the camper.
