Will B&W Companion Fit a 2011 Ram 3500 with a Plastic Duraline Bed Liner
Question:
My 2011 Ram 3500 already has the BandW rail and was used for a gooseneck trailer. I will use the BWRVK3500-5W. The truck has the Duraliner truck bed . Will I have to remove it or cut out sections to avoid interference with the BandW 5th wheel hitch?

Expert Reply:
We have talked to B&W before and they recommend either removing the plastic bed liner or cutting out the bed liner where the Companion Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W will rest so the hitch has the best surface to set on. Also the weight of a coupled trailer could damage the bed liner and it is possible that the bed liner would prevent the hitch from dropping down far enough to secure in the gooseneck ball hole.
