Which part would I buy to get a 2-5/16inch ball with a 1-14 UNS stem?

Expert Reply:
We offer many 2-5/16-inch hitch balls that you can see by clicking on the included link.
First, you will want to select the required shank diameter to match the hole size on your ball mount. The 2-5/16-inch hitch balls we carry come in the following shank diameters:
1-inch
1-1/4-inch
1-3/8-inch
1-1/2-inch
2-inch
You also need to select a ball with the appropriate length of shank so that it will fit your ball mount and allow enough room to install the lock washer and nut. Our hitch balls include the lock washer and nut and typically have a fine thread.
For example, part # 63840 has a 20K rating and a 1-1/4-inch diameter shank that is 2-3/4-inches long. This will fit a ball mount such as # C45456.
Of course, be sure that the ball you select has the appropriate weight capacity for your towing application.
