Will Glacier Tire Chains fit Tire Size 225/60R17 on a 2017 Subaru Forester
Question:
I have a Subaru 2017 Forester. Trying to find snow chains for tire Size P225/60/ R17. Confirming if the Glacier Cable snow Chain Fits Part 1038 Subaru 2017 Forester? Also your video suggests putting the chains on the back tires. But a subaru online forum search indicates that subaru suggests the front tires. Do you recommend chains on the front or back tires ?

The Glacier Cables part # PW1038 are a confirmed fit for the tire size P225/60R17 that you referernced. We typically recommend chains on both axles if the owners manual says that is okay. Aside from that if one set is to be used on an all wheel drive vehicle we recommend the primary drive axle.
The owners manual also will state which axle to use and if there are any other snow chain restrictions. These cables are Class S compatible which means they are great for tight clearances.
I attached an install video for these chains on a similar Forester as yours as well.
