What size of ball would I need to buy to haul a 2012 Grey Wolf 26B Forest River trailer.

Forest River does not maintain coupler specs on their website for your 2012 Grey Wolf M-26BH but it is easy enough to examine the coupler on the trailer to see the required ball size; this will usually be stamped into the steel housing. Based on this trailer's dry hitch weight of 402-lbs, odds are that the coupler takes either a 2-inch ball or a 2-5/16-inch ball.
You'll want to check your tow vehicle's ball mount to ensure you choose a hitch ball that not only matches the ball size for the trailer coupler but that also fits properly in the hole in the ball mount.
The linked page displays all hitch balls. Click on the ball size you need for your coupler, then on the shank diameter you need for your ball mount.
For a 2-inch ball with 1-inch shank you can use part # 40038; for a 2-5/16-inch ball with a 1-1/4-inch diameter shank use part # 63840.
