Recommended Flagpole Holder for 1-1/4 Trailer Hitch
Question:
Im buying a hitch for a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta and its 1 and 1/4 inch. When I saved this product it told me it would fit in this hitch but now that Im ordering it I cant see where it said that. Now its saying that this flag pole holder is 2 inches. Will this flag pole holder/receiver fit in a 1 1/4 inch hitch? Id appreciate it if you could get back to me as soon as possible.

Don't worry, I have a solution for you.
The Camco Flagpole Holder # CAM51611 will fit into shanks of 2 inches but what you can do is use an adapter to reduce the opening to 1-1/4 to fit your 2001 Volkswagen Jetta hitch. This adapter # HTAD will be compatible with both a Class I and Class II trailer hitch. It will reduce the amount of weight that can be loaded into the receiver by 50 percent. This means if your tongue weight was 200lbs then you will be reduced to 100lbs, which should still work for your flag and pole.
