Can an ATV Winch Be Used to Load Car Onto Trailer Ramps

Trying to find a trailer that wont break my bank need a winch to pull my 2700lb race car in my trailer atv and trailer winch whats the difference

The main difference between an ATV winch and a trailer winch is that the ATV winch comes with a wiring kit and other install components that tailor it to an install on an ATV.

That being said, if you wanted to install the # SW1130220 on a trailer it would be possible. The capacity of the winch you would need will be based on the slope angle of the ramps on your trailer.

I attached a help article that details how to pick out the correct electric winch. I also attached a chart that shows rolling load capacities for winches based on slope angle of the ramp. The closest capacity to the winch you referenced is highlighted on the chart.

The # SW1130220 has a 3k capacity so it should work fine unless you have a nearly vertical ramp.
