Why do the Trailer Hitches for a 2015 Toyota Highlander Have Bends in the Crosstube

Hi! I have a toyota highlander 2015 and im loocking to buy a hitch trailer but i would like to be straight under the rear bumper and not with little bend on it . Can you help me and send me some pictures. Thanks.

All of the hitches we carry for the 2015 Toyota Highlander like the # DT65MR have a slight bend in the crosstubes. This is so that the hitch can fit around the spare reasonably. Otherwise the hitch opening would be recessed further under the rear of the vehicle and would make removing the spare somewhat difficult if not impossible.
I attached a picture that should help you see why the bends are there.
