Will an ST215/75R14 Trailer Tire Fit on a 14 x 5-1/2 Inch Wheel

Question:

Hello, Will this tire fit on my 14x5.5JJ rims. Running with ST/205/75R14C, rather not replace the spare. Could I use my current spare if needed with the 215 size?

Any given tire size will fit a range of wheel widths. An ST215/75R14 tire such as # TTWTRTM2157514D will fit 14 inch wheels that are 5-1/2 to 7 inches wide so it will work with your 14x5.5 JJ wheels.

The 205 size will be slightly shorter and narrower compared to the 215 size but in a pinch it can be used as a spare. You would just need to be sure to get the 215 tire fixed or replaced as soon as you are able. I have included a link to a video review of tire # TTWTRTM2157514D for you.

If I wanted to get a rim/tire with a rim size of 14x5.5 jj and a tire size of st215/75sr14 would you have and exact match for a spare tire for my travel trailer? Can you please supply a link to a match thanks !

@Joe I'm assuming you don't care if the wheel matches what you have on there now since it is a spare. If that is the case you can use the # AM32181 which comes with a 14" x 5-1/2" wheel and Karrier ST215/75R14 tire.

@OneQ I don't know, I know nothing about what you have on your trailer aside from what you told me in that comment. Assuming you have a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern then yes, it will match. The tire does come mounted already but you will still need to add some air. I also don't know the weight of your trailer to say if load range C is adequate. The max load of this tire is 1,870 lbs at 50 psi. If you need a load range D we only have the # TTWTRTM2157514D which would require a separate wheel like # AM20353. This tire has a max load of 2,200 lbs at 65 psi.
