Question:
Hello, I have a Harbor Freight 4X8 folding/tilt trailer model 90154 #1450 lb. GVWR capacity with 4 lug hubs. I changed the 12mm x 2inch lugs to 1/2 inch x 2.5 inches. Need a spare hub bearing assembly and extra bearings and seals for a long trip to Fla. Do you have experience as to which assembly I should get ? HF was not at all helpful and I would rather buy higher quality parts. Thanks.

We often hear of weak customer support and limited spare parts availability with "bargain" trailer manufacturers. I found an online copy of the owner's manual for the Harbor Freight Haulmaster utility trailer model 90154 but it includes no information at all about the bearing or seal part numbers it uses. Often these foreign-made trailers use odd bearings that are not commonly available.
If you can, pull a hub and find the part numbers on your bearings and seal. Please refer to the linked diagram that shows you the typical appearance of such part numbers. If you can find them you can then search our site using those part numbers, or you can email that info to me. If you cannot find part numbers then you'll need to use a precision digital caliper like # PTW80157 to measure your spindles at points B, C and D as shown in the diagram. These will tell you the inner diameters of your grease seal, inner bearing and outer bearing. You'll also need to measure the inner bore of your hub where the grease seal fits. This will help you select a seal whose outer diameter will fit the hub bore.
I have linked you to our main pages for bearings and for grease seals. Both pages will let you search based on your diameter measurements. You can click on the filters to select your bearing and seal dimensions.
Once you know those parts you can select a spare idler hub. It must use the exact same size (or same part number) bearings as yours to ensure that the hub will fit on your spindles. You can use the linked page to see all idler hubs. Select your wheel bolt pattern, inner and outer bearing and axle capacity to see hubs that can work for you. For example, the hub you referenced, part # 34822BX, uses # L44643 inner and outer bearing and grease seal # 34823.
Another option is to simply replace the entire axle with an assembly like # 20440I-EZ-60 which includes hubs, bearings, races, seals, grease caps, wheel studs, lug nuts, and marine-grade wheel bearing grease.

I need to replace that bar that is held by a pin which extends and is used to attach coupler. Not sure what it is called. Using the pin you can extend and retract the length. is used
