Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2014 Ram 1500

Question:
I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie. I am wanting to install a trailer brake controller. I have a Reese Pilot from my 2005 Ram. Can I use it for the 2014? I was also considering the Tekonsha Primus IQ controller. I believe I would need the custom wiring adapter as well. But looking under the dash I do not see where the connector would plug in. Do you have any instructions? I believe I reviewed the video for the 2012 Ram, but I did not see anything near the e-brake of my 2014 Ram to plug in a connector.

For your 2014 Ram 1500 I have a solution for you, but the 2014 Ram 1500 is not compatible with your current Reese Pilot. The stoplight switch of your truck uses a lower voltage signal and the Pilot will not function properly. It won't sense the brakes coming on since it will be looking for a higher voltage signal.
The Tekonsha Primus IQ part # TK90160 will work on the 2014 though. You would want that and the install harness part # 3023-P and you would be set. I attached an install video that details how to find where the connector is.
