Replacement 1 Leaf Springs For 5 x 8 Utility Trailer

Updated 09/08/2015 | Published 09/06/2015

Question:

I recently purchased a utility trailer that is 5x8ft. I wanted to purchase some new leaf springs for the trailer but not really knowing what I need to get. It currently has a 1 leaf and is from center of bolt to center of bolt 25 3/4inch long by 1 3/4inch wide. I also dont know what weight capacity the trailer is, it looks like the axel is 3inch in diameter. Would you be able to let me know what would be an expectable product to purchase. Thanks

The only 1 leaf, 1-3/4 inch wide leaf spring we offer is # e46SR. This spring sounds like it might be a fit for your trailer. It is a single leaf double eye spring that measures 25-1/4 inches long from center of eye to center of eye. This spring is designed for use with 6,000 pound trailer axles.

The part # e46SR includes one spring. We recommend replacing springs on both sides of the trailer at the same time.

There may be a label on the axle that will give you the weight capacity of the axle. If your axle does not have this sticker, it is hard to determine the weight capacity of the axle.
