Locating Right Turn Signal Circuit on 2012 Audi Q5 To Install Trailer Connector
Question:
Need the color code of the rh indicator wire for 2012 Audi Q5

Because the car manufacturers can vary the vehicle wire colors from year to year, we typically tell folks to wire by function, not by color.
We haven't yet installed a wiring harness on a 2012 Q5. When we installed a taillight wiring harness on a 2011 Q5, we found that the wire for the right turn will located in the upper connector and was a black wire with a green stripe (see linked video). The wire attaches to a tan plug. The plug will have many wires going into it, but each wire slot will be numbered. The wire in slot number 13 should be the wire you're looking for.
Use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the wire to confirm.
