Can Motorcycle Carrier be Used on 2016 Audi Q5 TDI

You may be able to carry your motorcycle with a hitch-mounted rack on your 2016 Audi Q5 without issue. I recommend taking a look at the owner's manual for the Audi to see if it lists a specific tongue weight capacity for the vehicle. As long as it is higher than the combined weight of your bike and carrier, you are good to go. Typically a vehicle's tongue weight limit will be 10 percent of its trailer towing capacity. This would come out to 440 pounds using the 4,400 pound towing capacity of the Audi Q5. If you are able to verify this in the owner's manual, then you should have no issues with a hitch-mounted solution for your bike.

If you do not yet have a hitch installed, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III # 75940. This hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and it will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. It will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening that will work great with hitch-mounted accessories like bike racks.

If you are also still looking for a carrier, I recommend taking a look at the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979033. This heavy-duty carrier features a weight capacity of 500 pounds and includes a 39 inch ramp that can be positioned on either side of the carrier for easy loading/unloading. The carrier itself weighs around 50 pounds, which will put you at a total tongue weight between the carrier and bike of around 325 pounds.
