Question:

I have a question about the swing arm kits. I need an adapter that will universally work on my Jeep for my bike rack and a cargo box. Can those be adapted to work with any 2inch receiver mounted item, or are they only specific to the brand of the wheelchair/ cargo racks? Please advise.

There is a universal-fit type of swing-away mechanism available that can be used with a hitch-mount bike rack or cargo carrier. I recommend the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2" Hitches # Y02483 or the Kuat Pivot # PVP20B. You can use these with your own 2" bike rack or cargo carrier. They each have a 250-pound weight capacity. I have included videos for both of these products.
