Question:
Hello Im looking for the best faith wheel hitch, that I can tow a 5th wheel rv with the 5th wheel Im looking at is a 2013 39 foot Jayco seismic the dry weight is 15,569 and the GVWR is 19,000 pounds do you have a 5th wheel hitch that would work for this and if so which one. Also I have a 2013 dodge longhorn diesel crew cab 2500 4x4. Is it powerful enough to pull this weight and also safe. Do you know the maximum I can 5th wheel tow. I believe I can trailer hitch tow 17,900 pounds per my book. But I dont know how much I can 5th wheel. Please e mail me back with prices of hitch and equipment I will need thank you very much for your time.

According to the Ram Trucks website the 2013 Ram 2500 Longhorn crew cab with Cummins diesel engine and 6-speed automatic transmission has a maximum trailer weight capacity of 17,630-lbs. This covers your trailer's dry weight plus about another 2000-lbs, but it is still a good bit below your trailer's maximum GVWR of 19K.
We always suggest having a healthy safety margin for any towing, 5th wheel or bumper pull, so in your case you might want to consider a lighter trailer if you expect to need to load it up to its maximum GVWR.
For a 5th wheel hitch you will want to use one rated for 20K or 21K and all such items can be seen by clicking on the included link. Since your trailer is fairly long at 39-feet I suggest a slider hitch with the maximum available amount of slider travel. Demco offers 14-inches of slider travel in their hitches and you can choose from an above-bed rail system or a below-bed type. The Reese fixed hitch # RP30928 is not suitable for your short bed truck since it would not provide enough turning clearance.
For an above-bed install use hitch # DM8550035 and install kit # DM8552023-71. For a below-bed installation kit use hitch # DM8550037 and install kit # DM8551005. Videos for both hitches are linked for you.
