How to Find a Replacement Hub for a 2005 Pace Cargo Trailer
Updated 04/30/2015 | Published 04/29/2015 >
Question:
I have a 2005 Pace Cargo Trailer. I just took the wheels off to replace them and one bearing did not have much grease in it and it seems to be slinging it out the rear seal. The model number is OS6123A and says 2990 lbs. Which DEXTER Ez-Lube Hub assembly should I purchase? The one you have listed for 3,500 lb axle? There isnt anything I found for a 3,000 lb axle. I would feel better if I just replaced it all. It seems cheaper to go that route anyway.

It sounds like the grease seal at the back of the hub needs to be replaced but you can replace the whole hub if you want to. In either case I will need to know the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings to make recommendations. I will also need to know the bolt pattern of the wheels. I have linked a picture and a help article on determining bolt pattern for you.
there are some 3,000 pound axles but it is not common and usually seen on agricultural applications.
