Difference Between Trailer Tire Sizes ST205/75R15 and ST225/75R15

What are the key differences in these two tire sizes ST205/75R15 vs ST225/75R15 and do they require different wheels. Thanks

The two sizes you mentioned are pretty similar and fit many of the same 15 inch wheels. The 205/75-15 fits rim widths of 5 inch to 6-1/2 inch whereas the 225/75-15 fits widths that are 5 inch to 6 inch.
The 205 is 27.1 inches tall and the 225 is 28.4 inches tall. The 225 has higher capacities available for it as well.
Generally people go to the bigger size when they need more capacity than what the 205 offers. In that size the part # LHWL304 is our best option as it has a 75 mph speed rating and a 2 year road assistance program. It's weight capacity is 2,830 lbs at 80 psi.

The 2830 is that the additional weight with 4 tires? I have a 7000 lbs car trailer that I carry 4400 lbs tractor on. It carry it well but thinking I need to upgrade. Thank you
