Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit Installation - 2015 Ford Focus
Today on our 2015 Ford Focus we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit with removable arms, part number RM-524443-5. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. As you can see, it's got a nice black powder-coated finish. It's going to come with a bracket to mount either your 4 flat 00:00:26 in the center here, or you can use a 4 pole or a 5 pole, or you can switch it out to use a 7 pole without the adapter. It's got your safety chain hook connections, and it does have a bracket to mount your breakaway switch. The breakaway switch doesn't come with the kit; that's included with your braking system. When you're ready to take these off, you can just pull back the spring-loaded clip, turn it, and it slips out.
Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2015 Ford Focus
Today on our 2015 Ford Focus we're going to show you how to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with removable arms, part number BX2654. Here's what the base plate's going to look like installed on our vehicle. As you can see, we're not adding a whole lot to the car. It's pretty low-vis. We're going to have our connection points for our removable arms on each side here via round holes. Had to cut our fascia right here on each side to accommodate for it.
Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2012 Ford Focus
On this 2012 Ford Focus, we're going to review, and install the Blue Ox baseplate kit, part number BX2633. All right, this is what the baseplate looks like once installed in the Ford Focus. Everything is pretty well tucked in behind the grill. The only thing that really sticks out past the grill is a safety cable, or safety chain loops right here, and also a couple of prongs for your electrical. This is one of the tabs right here, it can only go in one way. Put it in this part where it's horizontal.
Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Focus
Today on this 2014 Ford Focus, we're going to show you the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate kit with removable arms, part number 524430-1. This is what the base plate looks like when it's installed on our Focus. Right now we have our removable arms installed on the base plates. At this point it's ready for the quick disconnects that come with the tow bar. When you're not using it, simply rotate it, pull it up, and out of the way. Safety chains can be disconnected with quick link as well.
Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2013 Ford Focus
Today on our 2013 Ford Focus we'll be installing the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit With Removable Arms, part number BX2633. Let's go over the operation of the removable arms. The removable arms have a spring-loaded lock that will line up with the grooves in the base plate. Line it up, push it in to collapse the spring, and rotate it until it locks in place. Then we can hook our tow bar directly up to our removable arms. Then, once you're finished towing your vehicle, we can go ahead and remove them by pulling back on the ring, collapsing the spring, rotating it, and removing it from the base plate.
Blue Ox Base Plate Installation - 2010 Ford Focus
Alright, today on this 2010 Ford Focus, were going to install part number BX2199 from Blue Ox. To start our install, we got to remove the front bumper cover, starting with these four pushpins right here. Alright, now we can remove the grill assembly. Okay, to remove the grill, you have to pull it straight out. We start from the end and work our way towards the center. Next, remove the headlights, one, two, three fasteners.
