Best 2009 Volvo XC70 Hitch Options

Today we will be taking a look at the best hitch options available for you 2009 Volvo XC70. You're first option available is going to be your Curt Class 2 Receiver with the inch and a quarter insert, part number C12066. You're second option is going to be your Hidden Hitch class 3 receiver with 2 by 2 inch receiver. That's going to be part number 87674. You're third choice is going to be your Draw-Tite and that's going to be very similar to the Hidden Hitch above. That's going to be part number 75916. The bottom one down here is going to be your Curt class 3 with the 2 by 2 inch receiver, part number 13266. Your Curt class 2 receiver hitch with the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter inlet receiver tube here is going to have that nice square stock that's gonna sit back behind the bumper. The only thing that you're going to see hanging down by the bottom side is going to be your inch and a quarter receiver tube. It's going to be the same with all the other ones as well. The class 2 Curt is going to have a 350 pound tongue weight and a max trailer weight of 3500 pounds. The other Curt on the bottom down here is going to also have a 350 pound tongue weight and 3500 pound max trailer weight. All these receivers are not suggested to use with weight distribution. The Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch both have a 400 pound tongue weight and a 4000 pound gross trailer weight. With your class 2 receiver hitch it's going to have that half inch pen hole that's going to go all the way through with no secondary hole.

If you look down on the Draw-Tite and the Hidden Hitch, they're both gonna be identical in the pen holes that they have drilled in. You're going to have that 5/8ths inch pen hole as well as the J-hook stabilization hole, which is going to be right in front of it, which is gonna be another half inch pen hole. If you take a closer look at all 3 of your 2 inch receivers, they're all going to be identical except for the Curt on the bottom with the extra pen hole not being in it like you do with the Draw-Tite and the Hidden Hitch. They're all going to have the same chain tie down on either side and the same tube design and back side. The Curt will have a little bit more square of an end whereas the Hidden Hitch and the Draw-Tite are both going to have a rounded end to them. If you take a look at all your best hitch options, they're all going to be identical as far as the piece that's going to go behind the bumper. You're going to have your larger diameter stock that's going to go back behind, as well as the same identical mounting hardware and brackets on all four. The only thing that's going to be different on them is going to be your drop downs and your receiver tubes. That will complete our look at the best hitch options available for our 2009 Volvo XC70.
