Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Demco Air Force One BrakeSync Air Jumper Kit. Now, this is designed to connect your Air Force One supplemental braking system on your towed vehicle to the BrakeSync air brake system on your Freightliner chassis. This will only be needed if you have the Freightliner BrakeSync-equipped chassis. If you have any other kind of chassis, you'll just need that standard air jump kit that comes with the Air Force One system, and that'll work just fine for you. If you are looking to replace that original cable, we do have that available here at etrailer.com, you can find it using that part number that you see on the screen, but this one is designed specifically for your BrakeSync-equipped chassis, so it is gonna be very similar to the original, it's the same seven foot long, coiled 1/4 inch diameter air hose, so having that seven foot length is gonna give us plenty of slack for turning corners, and being coiled up like that is gonna help prevent it from dragging on the ground.
The female quick disconnect fitting is gonna fit right onto your Air Force One system just like that other hose, the difference is that this has this quick connect male plug that's gonna connect to your BrakeSync system on your Freightliner chassis, and that's kind of a proprietary design, so that's gonna be the important component there, that's going to allow it to get connected, so that your air pressure from your RV's brakes will be transferred back to your towed vehicle, so that when you apply the brakes in your RV, it's gonna send that back and apply the brakes in your towed vehicle as well. This system is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is made to high quality standards we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US, but more than that, because this is a Demco product, you can trust it is gonna work with your Air Force One and plug right in, you're not gonna have any compatibility issues or anything like that. So if you do have that BrakeSync system on your Freightliner chassis, this is gonna be the air hose that you're gonna need to get hooked up to your Air Force One system. This hose fits perfectly on my roadmaster car connector .Excellent service and fast delivery.I like the fact that it is coiled for easier storage.
This air hose works great IF you have a Fleetwood/Freightliner chassis. I only needed to replace the couplings that hook into the motorhome & the tow car. While I could get the female end (for the tow car), the male coupling that etrailer carries DOES NOT fit a Fleetwood/Freightliner with BrakeSync. That important fact isn't clear on the male coupling part description or the video. That said, the entire hose with both couplings is available, and clearly states that it is for Fleetwood/Freightliner BrakeSync. Even though etrailer made the return/exchange easy, I think they could do a better job with the description, and save the trial & error, and the subsequent return!

Worked for my Roadmaster brake system and my freightliner air chuck.
Our Air Jumper cable came off the tow vehicle and somehow got ran over by the Motorhome. It was discovered when we got to our campsite and we were disconnecting our truck. We scoured the Internet and found that eTrailer is the only retailer for the Freightliner chassis! Even Demco doesn’t sell it as a stand alone item. Crazy. I called, and Joanne and Sarah got me the part in two days. Great Customer Service!
When you have eTrailer install your equipment, and someone messes up on my end, I know where to go to get the replacements we need. These parts are exactly what we needed.

This Jumper Kit does not fit on the Demo Air Force One system, in spite of etrailer's insistence that it fits. I have a Freightliner Chassis with a Demo Air Force One system. The female end quick connect was damaged so I elected to buy a new one rather than repair the old one by buying just the female end. The male end of this Kit does not fit. It is larger than the one that was being replaced. So I took the female quick connect fitting off the kit and placed it on my old hose. I used a $[XX] part to fix a $20 problem, but when you are on the road and need to get going what are you going to do? Return it and then wait for a new one or make do? You can probably tell what I chose to do...

It sounds like the standard part # SM99666 is what was needed. I can see that the part you ended up going with did have Freightliner in the description but it looks like this part only works with BrakeSynce while you were needing one for the Air Force One system.
Haven’t been able to install yet but I’m sure it will be fine. If the install is half as good as the customer service then it probably jump into the install all by itself. In other words excellent customer service.

This item saved the day. The female coupler fit my Freightliner chasis perfectly. The male end however was to large, so I was able to remove the female coupler I needed and put it on my old cable. I was able to get back on the road.

The fittings did not fit so had to find different. I ordered the right part but was shipped the wrong one.

This hose is meant to be used for the Freightliner BrakeSynce-equipped chassis. It has a three eights male and a one eight male compression fitting.
I added a Demco air brake system to my toad. I needed this coil to make it work. It has held fast and worked flawlessly. I have used it for about 9,000 miles so far.
Exactly what was needed for AirForce 1 towbar connection to our new 2022 Dutch Star 4081.
Air jumper works great. But the customer services from Etrailer is exceptional
Considering I was calling late in the day on a major US holiday (Memorial Day) i was not expecting a real person to answer

Unfortunately, I received the wrong hose and will had to order a new one that fits correctly. This was not etrailer's fault, it was simply a new type of mechanism for the Freightliner chassis. I called back to explain what happened and spoke with a gentleman named Will and he was amazing! He knew exactly what went wrong and what part I actually needed to get the correct hose. He also set up my return for me. Amazing customer service! Thank You!!!

I am wondering if the air jumper line was the right one for your RV. This one is meant to be used on a Freightliner BrakeSynce-equipped chassis. There is also one specific to the 2019 to present Spartan Chassis which is part # SM6296. The one that works for regular applications would be part # SM99666.
