just wondering, regarding attaching the carrier to the crossbars, the u-bolt goes under the crossbar, then a bracket is placed over the threaded ends, inside the carrier, then tightened by screwing on the knobs..........would it be safe to not use the brackets and just screw on the knobs to the ends of the u-bolt? |
