Raised Gooseneck Hitch Ball For a 2018 Ford F-250 Factory In Bed Hitch And Reese Goose Box 5TH Wheel
Question:
I have a 2017 f250. I had a reese goose box installed and my camper hits my truck for any little offset. I have about a fist width between bed and camper. Do they make something to give me more clearance so I dont rip my camper apart. I have the factory ford puk system with the round ball in bed.

First you want to check the bolt holes used when the Reese Goose Box # RP85FR was installed to determine if it can be moved down on the mounting brackets. This will gain you additional clearance.
If you cannot move the Goose Box any lower we have a couple options you can consider. First the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit # BWGNXA2061. This ball has a riser built in for the locking handle. It will position the top of the hitch ball at 5-3/4" above the top of the factory mount on your 2017 Ford F-250. If this is not enough height you can use the Adapter Rails # C88KR with the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # 16055. This combination will raise your hitch ball to 7" from the top of the factory mounts to the top of the hitch ball.
