Hitch Extension Recommendation for 2014 RAM 3500 Crew Cab with Bigfoot Truck Camper

Question:

Our Bigfoot 9.4 SB sticks out a long way because of the crew cab. We want to tow a light 4.5 x 9 ft trailer with a snowmobiletotal weight about 1200 lbs. We have been told that a hitch extension will act like a lever and it is better to have a long tongue trailer. Will your extension work well and fit our Dodge factory hitch

Assuming that your 2014 RAM 3500 is equipped with a 2-1/2" factory hitch, using the Titan Hitch Box Extension, # RP45018, will work well for you when towing your snowmobile trailer.

As for the extension acting like a lever, this is true for most hitch extenders but the Titan Hitch Box Extension, # RP45018, was specifically designed to be used on vehicles with a truck bed camper. This extension is constructed of heavy duty steel and has been tested at higher weight ratings so you should not experience any issues.
