Question:
We have a 2019 3500 HD short bed Silverado. We just purchased a 2022 Host Truck Camper that weights 3500 lbs. We have installed air bags made a significant difference and will be installing Torklift Stable Lad Supension Upgrade to help with stability in the rear. I would like to add a front sway bar/stablizer to help with the steering of the truck. We get into cross winds and you know the rest of the story. When you load a truck camper on the truck......... it drives like a motor home. Your thoughts? thanks

Expert Reply:
With the 2022 Host truck camper putting the majority of the weight above the rear axle you will benefit more with a rear sway bar. The Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1109-169 for your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 will help reduce the body roll and flex that you are getting in your frame. This sway bar is compatible with the air bags that you already have installed.
While there is not a replacement sway bar for the front of your Silverado you can add the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS66RR that will help to provide additional stability. These will provide stability in corners as well as under braking to prevent a lot of nose dive under heavy braking.
