Question:

Hi. I have a 2008 mitsubishi outlander. The rear is sagging even without load. Will this product lift the rear at least an inch? A mechanic also told me that this would add pressure and might break the spring. Can you enlighten me on this. Thank you

I have never heard of anyone end up with a broken spring when using SumoSprings such as # CSS-1125R. If that did ever happen it was probably because those people thought that they could overload the vehicle because they were using the SumoSprings. Which is not true, the vehicle capacity remains the same, it is just better supported.

With that said adding the SumoSprings will not grant you much, if any, additional height. They will help to keep the vehicle level if it is sagging. But there are better options for that.

Air bag helper springs form Firestone, # F4182, will fit inside of the coil springs on your 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander. You can add or remove air as needed for the best combination of ride quality and support.

You can use an air compressor like you would find at a gas station. Or you have the option of installing an on-board compressor system, # F2158, that will allow you to add/remove air from the comfort of the vehicle.

Any suspension enhancement is meant to be installed on a vehicle with a stock suspension system that is in good working order.
