Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500
Question:
I see many options on the site for wiring harness and trailer lights. What part number do I need for a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 to simply install trailer light kit? The trailer and camper has the standard 4 prong flat receiver plug. I need to be sure I order the correct kit. I am interested in the kit that plugs into the existing tail light assembly, with no cutting or rewiring .

For a wiring kit that would install in your 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 I recommend the Curt Wiring Harness part # C55504, which you referenced. This harness plugs inline with your truck's taillights to provide you with a fully functional 4-way.
Basically you would just need to unplug your taillight harnesses, plug the harness into the connector of the # C55504 and then plug the other end of the harness into the taillight assembly. Check out the installation instructions I attached for this product as well.
