Question:
I have a 2003 F150 with a 5.4 L with a Factory 7 pin tow package and transmission cooler in the front grill area. I live in Chilliwack B.C. and pretty much have to go through Mountains to go anywhere. I have made the decision that I am going with this unit for added protection and maximum cooling. I am looking for advice on location to mount this unit. links to pictures or any other info would be welcomed. Any ifo or options that I may not have considered would be welcomed.

The great thing about the Derale 16-Pass Electra-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D15900 is that you can almost mount it anywhere you want as long as you can route the transmission lines to the location easily. For maximum cooling I would still recommend you pick a location with some airflow. Another added benefit is that you can mount the cooler away from the radiator if you want so that it doesn't affect the cooling ability of your radiator.
We haven't had the chance to install this cooler on a truck like yours so I can't give you a first hand recommendation for where to put the cooler, but I would get underneath your truck and see where you could fit a cooler assembly that measures 15-3/4" Wide x 11-1/2 " tall x 5" deep the best.
