Question:
Hello, I have a bumper pull living quarters horse trailer with a short tounge. I pull it with a Nissan Aramada. I am looking for better weight distribution and sway controll. I have already experienced a bad sway which was very scary. Will this product work for my trailer. Thanks

The Reese weight distribution with sway control # RP66559 will work with a Nissan Armada that has a 2-inch receiver hitch. This system will help reduce sway. It is rated for 500 to 1,000 pound tongue weights.
Since you are carrying precious cargo, I recommend the Reese Strait-Line weight distribution with sway control like # RP66083. The reason is because the Strait-Line will lock the cams into position to hold the trailer steady especially in crosswinds. I also recommend bolt on chain hangers # RP58305. Bolt-on chain hangers/frame brackets provide an attachment point for your weight-distribution spring bars.
When choosing a weight distribution system, you need to go by the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded and ready to tow plus the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
The system I referenced # RP66083 is rated for 400 to 800 pound tongue weights and has a 18,000 pound maximum towing capacity. If your tongue weight is less than 400 pounds or greater than 800 pounds, # RP66083 wouldn't be a good fit, but I have linked all of our Strait-Line systems for you to check out.
The hitch ball I would recommend is made by Tow Ready and has a 1-1/4 shank diameter. The part # is 19286. If you need a 2-inch ball, I recommend Curt # A-90.
I have included FAQ, installation instructions and a video review for you as well.
