Recommendation for Getting Additional Trailer Jack Ground Clearance for a 2013 Hyundai Elantra

Question:

I have a 2013 Hyundai that i use to pull a boat short distance to launch. The hitch that i have is a 1 1/4inch inlet but the hitch mounted on this vehicle is too low and i cant use the manual jack that is mounted to the trailer. I need an increase of about 6inch in height. Is that available in an 1 1/4 inlet hitch ?

The only time you would want to raise the nose of a trailer would be if the trailer wasn't sitting completely level when hitched up. The solution for this would be to get a different rise/drop ball mount. However, with a Class I hitch like what you have on your 2013 Hyundai Elantra you can only use the recommended ball mount for the hitch being used.

A better solution for you might be to go with a different trailer jack that doesn't require as much ground clearance. If you have an A-frame trailer the part # PS1401000303 would be a great choice since it only has 4 inches from the bottom of the bracket to the bottom of the jack when completely retracted.

For a jack that would bolt to the side of a trailer frame that would provide great ground clearance that I would recommend the # FXP15L. Check out the review video I attached.
