Question:

I have a complete Thule rack system with 3 bike racks and a kayak rack. On one of my bike racks, I need to replace one lost rubber piece that feeds through the strap, not the entire full set of two wheel straps for $29.95. In fact, Im fairly certain that theres a lot of people in my position as that is a very easy part to lose. I went to another retailer and after the employee searched through his used stuff bin he sadly informed me that all he could offer was the full set new for $29.95. He went on to say, Thule has a good reputation for supplying parts and agreed that theres no reason why someone should have to buy an entire set of straps when all that is needed is one of the rubber pieces. He told me that I should write to them and suggest that they sell these items separately and not force people to buy stuff they dont need just to replace one small lost piece. So heres your chance to make my day and continue to earn that high reputation from its customers. Thanks for considering,

We do carry a few of the replacement straps for Thule roof mounted bike carriers.

If you have a Thule Criterium carrier, you can order part # 853-6512. This is a ratcheting style strap and is sold individually.

If you have the Thule Sidearm carrier, the strap you can order is part # 853-7006.

And we do carry the replacement wheel straps as well. This is a set of 2 and includes the straps and adaptors. For these you need to order part # THWS2.
