Transmission and Oil Cooler Recommendation and Install 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L Towing a 24ft Camper

Question:
I am interested in a transmission and engine oil cooler for my 2001 1500 Dodge Ram Pickup 5.9L. I found this one D15902 and was wondering If It will fit in the front of my A/C condenser or the back. It seems like it will from the measurements but want to be absolutley sure before purchase. I was also wondering how It connects to the engine to cool that oil. I am setting my truck up to tow a 24 camper that weighs 3200 lbs UVW. 300 lb TW. I did research your WD hitches with SC and found your site to be VERY informative about that. I will wait until I hear from you about the cooler.

Transmission and engine oil cooler # D15902 would be a great fit for your 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, towing your 24 foot camper.
As far as the cooler installation in relation to your AC condenser, it really depends on how much room you have. You would need to measure, once received, to determine where you are able to mount the unit. It is, of course, best to install the cooler in front of the condenser, because it would function at full efficiency, but it would still be effective if installed behind the condenser.
The oil cooler sandwich adapter installs between your engine and oil filter, with lines running in and out for the fluid cycling to and from the cooler.
