Which fifth wheel hitch would you recommend for a 2008 Ram 2500 towing a 17.5K 5th wheel? I'm looking for the best ride quality I can get.

I recommend the B&W Patriot for your 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. It has an 18,000 pound capacity so is enough for your trailer. It features 3/4 inch dual jaws with gives you great contact between them and the king pin. This helps improve your ride by reducing chucking and jarring between the trailer and your Ram.
The Patriot installs into industry standard rails, like part # BWRVK2600. If you don't already have a 7-way trailer connector installed in the bed of your truck, you can install one using part # HM42137.
