How Does the Car Tie Down Kit # 08504-05 Work

Question:

I have a few questions on this tie down - 08504-05 1 Does it wrap around the wheel? 2 Will it fit 18inch wheels? 3 Is this cost for each? So I would need 4 of them?

The Car Tie Down Kit # 08504-05 actually secures the axle of the vehicle, not the tire. The short strap with the loops on each end goes around the axle. The hook on the long strap goes through the 2 loops. And the other end of the long strap goes through the ratchet mechanism. And the hook on the other end of the ratchet part would attach to your anchor point. You would only need one set provided the vehicle is within the 10K capacity/3,300 pound working load limit of this system.
