Question:
Hi there, I have installed a C56333 wiring kit on my 2008 Grand Caravan. After installing it I tested it with a test light. The Green and Yellow wires have power to them without having turned on any lights. The taillights on the trailer are lit up like the brake pedal is being depressed, but it is not being depressed. And there are not any lights turned on. Please help....

When testing the wire harness on your 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, you should only see power on the harness when the converter receives a signal from the tail lights. If you have power all the time then that would indicate a short or a bad connection.
You want to make sure the black wire with the fuse holder and fuse is connected to the positive post on your battery. Make sure the white ground wire has been secured to a clean bare metal surface.
After you have checked all of the connections and made sure the system is grounded correctly, and still have the problem, the harness may be bad and need to be replaced.
I have attached a link to an installation video for this harness you can check out.
