Question:

I need to off set my wench. Can I use a pulley to pull the center of the car? I am looking at a 45 degree off set.

Expert Reply:

You can use a pulley block like part # BDW20005, to pull your car on to a trailer with the winch being offset. You will want to make sure the winch is well secured for safety.

This pulley block has a capacity of 17,000 lbs break strength and is designed to be used with winches that have a rated line pull up to 7,000 lbs working load.

I have attached a drawing that shows how to attach a pulley when offsetting the winch.
