Ladder Rack and Lift Assist Kayak Carrier Recommendation for a 2010 Ford F150

Question:

I need to find a good system to load my 17ft Edon Rowing Scull onto my truck. It is like a hybrid kayak/shell. Very durable, but I am a female and need to figure out how I can load this boat on my truck on my own. I had some foam blocks but that is really a two man solution to lift in onto the roof of my truck without gouging things. Looking at Yakima solutions, or TracRac racks. I would love some clips that hold the oars too. I have been trolling the internet trying to find a suitable solution for too long! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

For a ladder rack to start in the bed of your 2010 Ford F-150 I would recommend the Yakima Ladder Racks # Y01136-Y00410.

The kayak carrier that I think would be your best option would be the Thule Hullavator part # TH898. This carrier will making loading and unloading your Edon Scull much easier. Check out the review video I attached for this carrier for you to check out as well.
