Question:

WD Question Switching trucks from 2x4 to 4x4 Truck: 2003 F350 SRW crew LB 4x4 7.3 Trailer: 2011 Jayco 28U 30ft. 5366 lbs dry TW unloaded: 750 estimated loaded: 850 Used a CP round bar friction with old 2x4 F350, wont adjust down for 4x4 plus old. Looking at Blue Ox BXW1000, seems simpler than Reese DC and no drilling Need opinion on brand and also model. Willing to pay a few $$ more for better. Question on shank length needed for from 4x4 Thanks

The Blue Ox Sway Pro you mentioned, part # BXW1000 would be an excellent choice if the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer is between 750-1000 lbs. I have more personal experience with the Reese Dual Cam systems like # RP66084, but judging by our customer comments and reviews, the Sway Pro is a nice system that's simpler to use. The shank that is included with the # BXW1000 has a maximum rise of 10-3/4 inches, and when flipped over and used in the drop position, you'll have a max drop of 3-1/4 inches. I'll link you to one of our help articles that shows how to determine the rise/drop you'll need. You'll want the ball sitting about 1 to 2 inches higher than the coupler.

You'll also need a trailer ball with a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank, like # A-90 for a 2 inch ball or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball.
