How to Fix Yakima HullyRoller Wheels that Have Gotten Sticky and Grimy Over Time

Question:

I love my Yakima Hully Rollers but over the years the wheels have become grimy and sticky. I suspect it is road grime and exposure to the sun. Can I buy replacement rubber wheels for my Hully Rollers? Thank You-

On HullyRollers that are several years old we have heard of the grey portion of the wheels turning sticky and grimy. While Yakima has stated that this is just something that happens over time I was able to do some searching on line and found a guy who took an abrasive pad to the wheels and was able to remove the sticky/grimy portion of the wheels and the problem went away.

That would be my best recommendation that I could give you as replacement wheels are not available. The HullyRollers have been discontinued and replaced with the HandRoll # Y04082 if you want to upgrade.
