How does the rope hook up to drum I have a 3500 lb super winch

There is a hole in the drum and a set screw that takes an allen wrench. You would put the winch in free spool mode, pull the old cable all the way out and loosen the set screw to take the cable out. Reverse the process to put the new cable on.
