Question:
I have a 2014 grand caravan. I know the hitches are compatible from 2008 to 2014, but what about the harness? With the LED lights will an earlier harness still work? Thanks

We offer a few confirmed fits for a 4-pole wiring harness for your 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, Hopkins # HM11141995 and Curt # C56331. All are compatible with incandescent and LED lighting systems and all will install in an identical manner using plug-in connectors (please see the linked video) but since the Curt offers higher current capacity and is lower in cost I suggest it. Written installation instructions are also linked.
Without knowing what harness you have I cannot confirm if it is suitable for this new vehicle.
Your 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan can be equipped with either of two classes of hitch, either a 1-1/4-inch Class II type or a higher-capacity 2-inch Class III; all can be seen on the link provided. Generally there are more accessories available for the 2-inch size hitch and its higher capacity comes without much added cost so all other things being equal I suggest a 2-inch Class III hitch such as Curt # 13364.
All hitches will install without drilling or welding, using the included hardware. You will need to temporarily lower the exhaust to gain better access to the frame and also do some minor trimming of the rear fascia in most cases. Two helpful articles on hitch installation are linked for you.
I linked two installation videos below. One on the Curt Hitch and the other being on the Curt Wiring harness, both are being installed onto your exact vehicle. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach back out to me anytime and I would be more than happy to further assist you.
