Timbren Kit Recommendation for 2023 Ford F-350 Towing 5th Wheel

Updated 11/03/2026 | Published 10/29/2026

Question:

I own a 2023 Ford F350 HO 6.7l diesel SRW diesel with 8ft bed. I notice there are several Timbren bump stop kits. Which kit would fit my truck when towing a 10,500 empty 5th wheel trailer?

Hey Gary, welcome back! For your 2023 Ford F-350 the correct Timbren kit is the part # TFR350SDJ that you referenced. This will provide you all the support you are looking for but won't be as harsh as the severe service version which would be quite a bit more harsh. What camper are you towing?

I installed the Timbren part # TFR350SDJ on my 2026 F350 with 6.7L HO and it made a huge difference when towing our 13,500 lb boat. Drastically reduced squat and the ride was much smoother. Honestly, the ride when not towing is not noticeable rougher at all - tire air pressure has a larger impact to the ride.

Those are the exact Timbrens I used on my 2026 F350 SuperDuty srw Godzilla gasser. I tow a 11k empty 5th wheel, 12,200 loaded. The 350 never squatted but it did porpoise so I went Timbren and it stopped the porpoise rocking. After that I also added sumos to the trailer and that helped on the expansion joints a lot. Everything was thru eTrailer, because they always help!

The TFR350SDJ is exactly what I installed on my 2023 F350. I pull a 15,500 lb fifth wheel. Never had an issue. It enhances the Ford suspension. You’ll be happy when you get them. When empty, they don’t affect the ride at all.

I had it installed on my 24 KR 6.7 HO after a Ford Service manager suggested it. I tow a 40' 5er rated at 16k. The truck feel very stable and doesn't squat. I'd do it again. again, you'd never notice any difference when not towing.
