Hey Scott! I actually confirmed directly with Gen-Y that their current Boss hitches like the Gen-Y Torsion 2 Ball Mount for 2.5" hitches # 325-GH-1124 no longer have a built-in tongue weight scale. Their newer models instead use a rubber bump stop to help indicate when the hitch is overloaded though.

If you prefer the Gen-Y's shock-absorbing design and the pintle setup, you can keep that setup and use a separate tongue weight scale like the Big Truck Big RV # BTBRV49FR, which measures up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight.

Otherwise, I recommend checking out these Weigh Safe options, which both fit your 2-1/2" receiver and have built-in tongue weight gauges:

Weigh Safe # WS78VR – Black Cerakote aluminum, 18,500 lb capacity, 6" drop/7" rise.

Weigh Safe # WS46ZR – Silver aluminum, 18,500 lb capacity, 6" drop/7" rise.

Both Weigh Safe models include 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls, although they don't provide the torsion cushioning of the Gen-Y Boss or accommodate a lunette-ring pintle connection.

Are you towing with a standard ball coupler or a pintle/lunette ring setup?
