Do you all sell flat toe packages for a Lincoln Nautilus 2026 hybrid?

Hey John, yes we do have flat tow setups available for your 2026 Lincoln Nautilus hybrid. The Blue Ox base plate kit part # BLU35UR was designed specifically to fit the hybrid models plus it's easy to use so its what you need.

In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. One of the most popular compatible tow bars is the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420 which comes with safety cables. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground.

For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

My rug is a 2025 Fleetwood Discovery LXE 40M. I'd like to use the Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar - Blue Ox or Curt Base Plates-RV Mount-2" Hitch-10.5K

@JohnG You can definitely use the part # DM9511013-BX as it's a really solid tow bar that is compatible!

@JamesonC Which is the best quality base plate you would recommend for a 2026 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid to use with # DM9511013-BX? Anything else I need to set up my flat tow? What about the brake assist, or is that part of the tow bar package? Thanks! John

@John I would go with the Blue Ox # BLU35UR I mentioned above for sure. You will need braking and wiring like we talked about before. I am thinking maybe these comments came in out of order? Above I recommended wiring and a braking system. The braking system does not come with the tow bar.

I have 2025 Fleetwood Discovery LXE 40M and Wells prefer the Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar - Blue Ox and Curt Base Plates-RV Mount-2" Hitch-10.5K. I'll also need a breaking system, correct?

@JohnG Yes you do need a braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot I mentioned above, or were you wanting more of a permanent install system like the Demco # SM99251.

I self installed the Blue Ox baseplate on my 2026 Lincoln Nautilus. Great car to tow. I used wireless magnetic lights as from my research, using the traditional diode method wasn’t recommended due to the LED modules and electronics of the car’s taillights on the 2024-2026 Nautilus. Maybe this has changed since I did my install 3/2026.

I could not use the diode kit on my 2025 nautilus hybrid. There is logic in their tail lights and the system would not work consistently. Instead, I had to use a seperate LED brake light strip which I placed right next to the existing brake lights. It created a clean look and only had to run a set of independent wires from the front tow bar.
