Will DeeMax Disc Brake Kit DE68YR Work With Large 17.5" Wheels On 2021 Grand Design Solitude 7k Axle
Published 10/20/2026 >
Question:
I have a 2021 Grand Design Solitude 2930Rl with 7K axles, 9/16 studs and 17.5 wheels. Is the DE68yr compatible? The specs list 15-16.5 wheel, not 17.5. However, I dont see why it wouldnt work and I see youve recommended DE68YR for other trailers that come with 17.5inch wheels.

Hey Steve!
Yes, the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit # DE68YR is a great option for your 2021 Grand Design Solitude 2930RL with 7,000-lb axles and 17.5" wheels!
The 16"–16.5" wheel sizes listed on our website aren't a maximum wheel size restriction. The larger 17.5" wheels actually provide more clearance around the 13" brake rotors and calipers, so wheel diameter won't be an issue. We just show the common sized wheels that normally come on these setups, so that's really all that is.
This kit uses 9/16" studs and an 8-on-6-1/2" bolt pattern, matching the common setup on your trailer.

Thanks, Andrew, we take our RV up and down the East Coast of the United States. Based on your advice I plan to get two DE 68YR brake and rotor kits, one DE 57SR brake line kit, and one DE 47 SR brake actuator. For a grand total of $2907 80. I have a question though. You have a kit, DE 57NR priced at $3727 that seems to contain the same components. Am I missing something? Is there something in the all-in-one kit that my individual collection doesn’t have? One last question. I see you have two almost identical brake actuators: the DE 47 SR and the DE 95 AR. The DE 95 AR is $100 cheaper and is black in color, but are there any other differences? Please let me know if you think I’ve missed anything, or if there is anything else I should consider. Thanks! Steve
