Question:
I have a 50-amp travel trailer and want a portable generator that can run my air conditioners and other appliances when were camping without hookups. Will the Onan 9,500-Watt Dual Fuel Generator CM26MR have enough power, and is there an advantage to running it on propane instead of gasoline?

Hey Jerry, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Onan 9,500-Watt Dual Fuel Generator # CM26MR is a great option for powering a larger RV when you're camping without hookups. It delivers 7,500 running watts and 9,500 starting watts on gasoline, or 6,750 running watts and 8,550 starting watts on propane. That's plenty of power for many RV setups running air conditioning, a refrigerator, lights, and other everyday appliances, although running both air conditioners at once depends on their individual power requirements.
One of the biggest advantages is being able to switch between gasoline and propane depending on what's available. Gasoline gives you the most power, while propane offers cleaner fuel storage without the same concerns about gasoline going stale. You also get a remote electric start, which is really convenient when you don't want to walk outside every time you need power. Just keep in mind that this generator has a 30-amp, 120/240V outlet rather than a 50-amp RV outlet, so you'll need the appropriate connection and won't have the full 50-amp service your trailer gets at a campground.
Does your RV have one air conditioner or two, and are you planning to run them both at the same time?
