Why Does the Front Wheel on My Harley-Davidson Road Glide Turn When Secured With a B&W Biker Bar?

Updated 10/13/2026 | Published 10/11/2026

Question:

Hi! Question about the BandW biker bar, Friend installed 4 in his trailer had 3 street glides and 1 road glide all were adjusted and locked in as per instructions but for some reason the road glide front wheel keeps turning after the trip ,the street glides were all straight! Did u ever hear of that? Thanks Mike

Hello Michael,

Thanks for writing in.

Yes, we've actually had this question come up before. Since the Biker Bar # BWMC2301 secures the motorcycle by the frame, the front wheel can still turn during transport. The first thing I would check is the height adjustment on the Road Glide's Biker Bar. You want a little compression on the suspension when it's locked in place. Even moving the adjustment up or down one notch can make a difference.

Since the other three bikes are staying straight, I would start there. Has he noticed any movement in the Road Glide itself, or is it just the front wheel turning?

No movement on the Road glide except for the front wheel,I guess we will adjust it down one setting, it was just straight that odd ball bike had the wheel turn otherwise no problem's with the B & W Biker - Bar all together we have 8 installed! They are the greatest thing since sliced bread!
