Question:
Are the backing plates 16 gauge too? It says the fenders are. Can I pick these up at your warehouse in Wentzville? I live in Foristell

Hey Ken,
Yes the Tandem Axle Trailer Fenders w/ Backing Plates # HP82VR is made of 16 gauge steel all around, including the backing plates. That said, it is not recommended to mount them from those backing plates alone. You'll want mounting brackets to then weld to the backing plates or bolt to them.
For mounting brackets, you can look at Mounting Brackets for Trailer Fender - 13"/14"/15" Wheels # CE26098G-2. Just measure to make sure these are the best brackets for your setup. These measure 6-1/2" wide x 8-1/4" tall and are confirmed fit for the 9" wide fenders linked above.
In regard to picking it up at our warehouse, we unfortunately do not allow that even if you're local. Sorry I know that is not good news. Luckily we can ship to you and get them there within 2 days normally (sometimes even 1).
What kind of trailer is this going on?
