Can Westin Powered Tonneau Cover Remain Partially Open On 2026 Toyota Tacoma
Updated 10/02/2026 | Published 10/01/2026 >
Question:
Hoping you can help. I have a 2026 Tacoma with the 5 foot bed and occasionally haul coolers and totes that stick up above the bed. Can I stop this cover halfway or does it have to be all the way open or closed?

Hey Adam! You can stop the Westin Power Retractable Tonneau Cover # W25YH anywhere along the rails, so you don't have to choose between completely open or completely closed. That makes it a nice setup for a shorter Tacoma bed since you can leave just enough room open for taller cargo while keeping the rest of the bed covered.
What do you keep in the coolers and totes?

Thanks! Can I actually drive with the cover stopped partway open like that, or is that only for when I'm parked?
